Project Echelon?

Wow, this is pretty old, I wonder what is new with any of this. Very interesting. Link courtesy of karl at WordSoup.

Q – What is Project ECHELON?

ECHELON is the term popularly used for an automated global interception and relay system operated by the intelligence agencies in five nations: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (it is believed that ECHELON is the code name for the portion of the system that intercepts satellite-based communications). While the United States National Security Agency (NSA) takes the lead, ECHELON works in conjunction with other intelligence agencies, including the Australian Defence Signals Directorate (DSD). It is believed that ECHELON also works with Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and the agencies of other allies of the United States, pursuant to various treaties.

Wal-Mart, the bad guy.

Wal-Mart. Evil? Yes. Cheap? Yes. Wal-Mart is kinda like a big mafia to its suppliers, but hey, at least we pay the cheapest possible price, right?

Truck/Train Wreck

A truck got hit by a train today while sitting on the tracks!
Nobody was hurt luckily. While listening to the driver talk to the local news channel, I picked up that he was sitting on the tracks and didn’t hear the train horn or the bells and lights. Crazy truck drivers.

26 Things #2

Cool! The new 26things project started! Time to get started now, before I get stuck doing it in the last 4 days like last time.

26 Things is a fun photographic game – no winners list, no prizes handed out. On a given date, 26 items are posted on the website and participants set out to photograph each item in their own interpretation.
