Amazon just released a video with their new idea on web browsing. They’re going to implement it with the new Kindle Fire edition. It sounds pretty cool, but what about privacy? Amazon filtering your internets??

Mobile broadband based on HSPA (High-Speed Packet Access) will in the future be able to offer download speeds of more than 650M bps, T-Mobile USA and Nokia Siemens Networks said Wednesday.

The technology is called Long Term HSPA Evolution and should be ready for commercial deployments by 2013, T-Mobile and Nokia Siemens said in a statement.

Oops

The MSC Napoli, which was holed in storms on Thursday, was run aground following “serious structural failure”. This happened in the English Channel, near Devon. The ship was carrying some freight for a customer of ours that we were shipping. It’s kinda neat being somewhat related to a vessel sinking over 4800 miles away.

Looks like Ford is airing a commercial that shows a separated family. You can check it out here.
It may be a good move for Ford considering there are millions of seperated families these days. Or it may not matter. Who knows.

So. Penthouse mentioned in their November 2005 Issue that “Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale” is possibly the best beer ever made in America. Now this beer is only out in the winter time, so I’ve been checking all the grocery stores for it. I’ll probably check Specs this week, their website says they carry it. I’lll for sure post my thoughts on it.

I’ve been drinking up on my ales lately. I still would say that Newcastle is one of my favorites. Although I did enjoy a 6er of Brigeport IPA, and would probably buy it again.

Cool. This quy qwantz started a trend of outlining the lyrics to songs.. It makes me think of XML or Perl hashes hehe..

The one I like the most is this one on the Jane’s Addiction song “Jane Says”.

Sparkling Grapefruit Juice?

I was at Starbucks the other day (there’s one in the building where we go eat lunch on Fridays), and saw “Izze Sparkling Grapefruit” Juice. It sounded interesting, especially since I am a grapefruit lover. I’m getting around to drinking it finally, It’s not bad, but the grapefruit is kind of weak. I’m assuming because they blend it with grape juice and lemon juice… Which reminds me, how can they offer cranberry juice in a can on Continental flights if it’s only 20% cranberry? Probably the same applies here.

While I got you reading about grapefruit… My favorite alcoholic drink, I thought it was called a “Sloe Dog”, but looking on the internet I can’t seem to find the receipe. It’s in the Playboy Bartender’s Guide. Anyways:

1oz Gin
1/2oz Shot Sloe Gin
3oz Grapefruit Juice

Election Results by County

I came across a neat map of this years election results. You can view it here: Election 2004 Results. It’s very interesting to see how much of the “BLUE” states had counties with a majority “RED” vote.

Also I think democrats enjoy using the phrase “RED States” because it sounds communist.

Well, elections are coming soon… Most people forget that we do have other people to vote for other than Kerry and Bush, I know that it would be very hard for a 3rd party to win, but why support Kerry if you are a “Anyone but Bush” person.. Well, anyways, here’s some links to the other “left behind” candidates.

Michael Badnarik – Libertarian Party
David Cobb – Green Party
Ralph Nader – Independant
Michael Peroutka – Constitution Party

Read up on the candidates. Maybe someday we will have a real chance at having a non democratic or republican president.
